Hi Robert,
The upcoming v2.0 release remembers the last document that you had open and loads that instead. A workaround in that aversion is to load a new document before closing the program.
Future versions of v2.x will allow you to choose between always loading a blank page or the last document that was open, but this has not been developed yet.
v2.0’s release is delayed for a multitude of reasons. If you need a solution now, you can:
The first two options are the easiest.
Not urgent, no need to run a beta version. For workflow speed (and speed is often critical on a prompting job) it’s a good thing to streamline as much as possible.
Agree. If there’s a process that you’d like to see streamlined in QPrompt, feel free to file for a feature request at https://feedback.qprompt.app or make a code contribution.
I wish I could code. I’m an operator, with a lot of experience. Hats off to those who code.
While we’re streamlining… the final graphic “THE END” at the end of a script is another thing that isn’t usually seen in pro software packages. Nobody is expecting any decoration in prompter. I’d streamline it out.
It’s already been removed from v2.0 to make better use of space and to reduce distractions. Thank you for your feedback nonetheless. It’s good to confirm that steps have been taken in the right direction.
