I can't find QPrompt on Google Play Store

I have successfully downloaded QPrompt onto my PC. It looks good so far. I search QPrompt on my Pixel thru Google Play Store, and nothing shows. Ideas?

It’s not in the Play Store. There was an Android version, but it needs to be side-loaded. You can find the most recent Android build here: https://github.com/Cuperino/QPrompt-Teleprompter/releases/download/v1.1.2/qprompt-v1.1.2-072f0a7-android-64-debug.apk

I stopped making Android builds of QPrompt after v1.1.2 because they consumed too much time and lacked features needed to provide a good user experience when using tablets. Features such as remote control, preventing the tablet from going to sleep, and the ability to open documents created by other apps, such as downloads. Those features are key to an efficient production flow.

Android builds of QPrompt haven’t been placed in stores two reasons. The main one is the lack of those essential features, the second reason is that Android builds have proven difficult to make, and I’m having trouble making the various builds work. I’ll hopefully get back to Android eventually, but that won’t be happening soon. Code contributions are welcome.

In the meantime, you’ll have a better time if you use a different teleprompter app, made specifically for tablets, rather than side-loading QPrompt. I apologize for the inconvenience.
