Hi all,
I am running into an issue with QPrompt where, while in full-screen mode, it loses the ability to properly process any shortcut keys. Specifically, pressing the space bar activates the full-screen button instead of pausing or starting the prompter. Yes, it is in prompter and not edit mode.
It seems to me that the focus on buttons and menu items prevents it from processing those shortcut keys.
What I need is a way to shift the program’s focus away from the menu items and buttons, since the space bar simply reactivates the last menu item or icon I clicked, rather than pausing or playing the prompt file.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Hi @Unimatrix00,
It looks like you’ve found a bug. Please check that you’re on the latest version of QPrompt, where instances of this bug are far less likely.
There are a few ways to regain focus when that happens. The most consistent one across all versions of QPrompt is to double click anywhere on the text and then double clicking again. With the first double click, you’ll enter “Edit while prompting” mode, which sets the focus on the editor’s contents. With the second double click you’ll exit “Edit while prompting” mode, which sets the focus back on the prompter.
Another way for the prompter to regain focus is to open any menu and then close it. However, this was only introduced in more recent versions of QPrompt, so if you’re on an older build the menu button will keep the focus instead.
Please let me know what you pressed that caused focus to be taken away from the prompter so I can fix it for the next build, which is coming out soon.
Thanks,
Javier
