Remote control of app

Brand new to this forum, so forgive me if I overlooked this topic elsewhere…
Is there any way to control scrolling by using a presentation remote control such as I use for PowerPoint?

Hi @Poppacat,

QPrompt only accepts mouse and keyboard inputs, but most PowerPoint remotes map to keyboard keys like Page Up and Page Down. You can go to Main Menu > Control Settings > Keyboard Inputs, to re-map QPrompt’s keys. If your remote is sending keyboard input signals, pressing a button while mapping an action to a key will have the key corresponding to that button be assigned.

You can use this website to see what keys your remotes map to: JavaScript Key Code Event Tool | Toptal®

If your remotes don’t map to any key you could use a separate program to map their signals to keyboard inputs. Which program you use will depend on the control.

The QPrompt app must be in focus to be able to receive inputs.

Hope this helps! Feel free to ask if you have any other questions.

Cheers,
Javier
