Hello,
While looking into how using the F9 shortcut to stop and restart the rolling script, I encountered the issue where the velocity value is reset to 0… I saw in one of the posts here, a reference to Version 2 of Qprompt where this issue will be resolved…
Is there any news when this latest version will be available?
Cheers
Steve
Hi @Steve.WR,
I’m currently targeting a release mid to late December of 2025. QPrompt v2.0 is very close to done. I consider its latest build stable enough for production use. That said, beta testers keep coming up with bugs, so I can’t say for sure when we’ll be releasing.
You can use v2.0’s builds today by downloading them from our Patreon blog. I’m looking for as many people to test them, so I’ve been giving them away for free for a while. You’ll need to be a paid subscriber to download new builds after v2.0 comes out. The most recent builds as of today can be found here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/140793965/
Please try v2.0, ask questions about it here, and if you continue to experience the issue that you’re facing, please file a bug report in our issue tracker, which this link will re-direct you to: https://feedback.qprompt.app
These are all the items I have left to execute on before releasing v2.0: GitHub · Where software is built
And these are all the bugs that we’re currently aware of being present in the app. Bugs listed there not included in the first of the two lists will but present on this one will most likely ship with v2.0, for a variety of reasons.
All that said, I consider the recent v2.0 early access builds ready for production use. Like all free and open source software that’s given away for free, including QPrompt’s own stable versions, they come with no warranty.
Again, please try the latest early access build (EA 14 at the time of writing), ask questions about it here, and if you continue to experience the issue that you’re facing, please file a bug report in our issue tracker.
Greetings Javier - and many thanks for your speedy reply. I have downloaded V2 of QPrompt and will soon have a opportunity to use it in earnest… Should I encounter any issues (not already known) I will drop you a line…
Thank you for making QPrompt available
Cheers
Steve
